VTB Arena Park and Roscongress agree on strategic cooperation
The VTB Arena Park project and Roscongress Foundation have reached an agreement on strategic cooperation with a key focus on the Foundation carrying out multi-faceted events at the project’s sites.
Virtually all the facilities of the VTB Arena multi-purpose sports, concert, and entertainment complex at Dynamo will be utilized as part of this cooperation. The all-purpose arena has seating capacity of 11,500 to 14,000, while the stadium has seating capacity of almost 27,000. The Hyatt Regency Hotel will open in May 2017. The format of the hotel’s convention centre will make it possible to host a wide variety of events ranging from exhibitions and seminars to major international conferences and forums. A multi-purpose sports and training complex that will host public, sports, and educational events, which are increasingly becoming a part of Roscongress events, will launch operations in 2019. A small concert hall with unprecedented acoustics and architectonics is ideal for chamber performances, corporate, and private VIP events for up to 2,000 people.
VTB Bank Senior Vice President and Head of VTB Arena Park Andrey Peregudov said the first significant event in their bilateral cooperation will be the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2017.
“We have planned an extensive programme for the upcoming Forum with a key focus on basketball. As president of the International Student Basketball League, I believe developing basketball is immensely important and relevant in the context of modern Russian and global sports. We plan to sign an important agreement with the Euro League at the Forum on holding the Final Four in Moscow at VTB Arena in 2019. The Moscow Government has already officially confirmed support for this project. The major basketball match ‘VTB Arena Open: Showdown between the Two Capitals’ will be a spectacular conclusion to the event”, Peregudov said.
Roscongress Foundation Director Alexander Stuglev said: “At present, the events organized by Roscongress are mainly held in St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vladivostok, and Arkhangelsk. We have planned Moscow forums starting in September 2017. The VTB Arena project will certainly become an ideal site for successfully holding some of the most important events in politics, business, and sports”.
VTB Arena Park is a comprehensive area development project that includes the construction of a multi-purpose sports, concert, and entertainment complex (VTB Arena and the Dynamo Central Stadium), the Dynamo Sports Academy, the Arena Park city district as well as the 8-hectare Dynamo sports park. The project covers a total area of roughly 32 hectares.

Arena Park Events is a subsidiary established as part of the VTB Arena Park project to develop and organize concert and sporting events and ceremonies, implement sponsor programmes, conclude partner agreements with major international brands, and attract additional investments for partnership projects such as the development of the Dynamo Physical Culture Park and Sports and a sports museum, and the redevelopment of historical buildings.
Roscongress Foundation is a major operator of conventional and exhibition events.
