Russian Minister of Labour and Social Protection Maxim Topilin invites Palestinian colleagues to SPIEF

On the eve of the third meeting of the Russian–Palestinian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on 7 November in Ramallah, Russian Minister of Labour and Social Protection Maxim Topilin held working meetings with President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and Minister of National Economy of the State of Palestine and Commission Co-Chairperson Abeer Odeh.

During the meetings, the officials discussed ways for the government authorities and business circles of both countries to interact in order to develop trade cooperation and ensure growth in investments. “We are confident that trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Palestine has further potential. Within the framework of the intergovernmental commission, we aim to find business projects whose implementation could strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and increase trade turnover as a result”, Topilin said.

Topilin invited his Palestinian colleagues to take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on 6–8 June 2019. “The participation of Palestinian companies in the St. Petersburg Forum would provide an excellent opportunity to network and conclude agreements”, Topilin said.
