Daniel Yergin is a highly respected authority on energy, international politics, and economics. He is Vice Chairman of IHS, one of the world’s leading research and advisory firms, and Founder of IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates. Dr. Yergin is the Pulitzer Prize-winner for The Prize: the Epic Quest for Oil Money and Power, which has been translated into 20 languages. He is the author of the new bestseller The Quest: Energy, Security, and the Remaking of the Modern World. In 2014, the Prime Minister of India presented Dr. Yergin with “Lifetime Achievement Award” and the U.S. Department of Energy awarded him the first “James Schlesinger Medal for Energy Security.” In 2015, the University of Pennsylvania presented him with the first Carnot Prize for “distinguished contributions to energy policy.” Dr. Yergin was awarded the United States Energy Award for “lifelong achievements in energy and the promotion of international understanding.” Dr. Yergin is a director of the Council on Foreign Relations and a trustee of the Brookings Institution. He is a member of the National Petroleum Council, and on the advisory boards of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative and Singapore’s International Energy Advisory Board. He is a “Wise Man” of the International Gas Union and became an Adjunct Professor at the China University of Petroleum in Beijing.

Graduated from the M. Azizbekov Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute in 1974. Doctor of Economics. Full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. Recipient of five orders and eight medals, and a Certificate of Gratitude from the Russian Federation President. Two times winner of the RF Government Prize. Employed since 1968; worked at oil fields in Azerbaijan and Western Siberia. 1987-1990: General Director of the Production Association Kogalymneftegaz of Glavtyumenneftegaz of the USSR Ministry of Oil and Gas. 1990–1991: Deputy Minister; First Deputy Minister of the USSR Ministry of Oil and Gas. 1992-1993: President of the Oil Concern Langepasuraikogalymneft. 1993–2000: Chairman of the Board of Directors of OAO “LUKOIL”. Since 1993: President of OAO “LUKOIL”. Elected to the LUKOIL Board of Directors since 1993.

Eulogio Del Pino graduated in Geophysical Engineering from Central University of Venezuela, in 1979. He earned a Master’s degree in Oil Exploration from Stanford University, USA, in 1985. Mr. Del Pino started his career in the Venezuelan oil industry at Intevep, in 1979. In 1990 he was named Technical Manager for Latin America at Western Atlas. In 1991 he returns to Petróleos de Venezuela, where he held various managerial positions at the Corpoven affiliate. In 1997 he was named Exploration and Delineation Manager at PDVSA. In 2001 he was responsible for restarting PDVSA’s offshore exploration at Deltana Platform. In 2003 he was appointed General Manager of Strategic Associations at Corporación Venezolana del Petróleo, S.A. (CVP), representing PDVSA in Orinoco Oil Belt’s strategic associations. In 2004 he is named Director of Corporación Venezolana del Petróleo, S.A. (CVP), and in January 2005 he became Internal Director of PDVSA and President of CVP. Since 2008 he was Vice President of Exploration and Production of PDVSA, President of PDVSA Servicios, and President of PDV Europa. Additionally, Mr. Del Pino was President and Vice President of the Venezuelan Society of Geophysical Engineers, 1990-1994; Vice President of the International Society of Geophysicists, 1996-1997; and Founder and Coordinator of the Latin American Geophysical Union. In September 2014, the constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, named Mr. Del Pino as president of Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA). In April 2015, Mr. Eulogio Del Pino was designated as coordinator of the Presidential Comission in charge of the Plan “Guayana Socialista”. This commission was created in order to increase production, growth and development of the Venezuelan basic industries. That same year, 2015, Mr. Del Pino was appointed by President Maduro as Minister of the Popular Power of Oil and Mining, keeping him also, as President of PDVSA.

Born in Milan in 1955, he has been Eni’s CEO since May 2014. He is a member of the General Board of Confindustria and Director of Fondazione Teatro alla Scala. He joined Eni in 1981 as Oil & Gas field petroleum engineer and then became project manager for the development of North Sea, Libya, Nigeria and Congo. In 1990 he was appointed Head of Reservoir and operating activities for Italy. In 1994, he was appointed Managing Director of Eni’s subsidiary in Congo and in 1998 he became Vice President & Managing Director of Naoc, a subsidiary of Eni in Nigeria. From 2000 to 2001 he held the position of Executive Vice President for Africa, Middle East and China. From 2002 to 2005 he was Executive Vice President for Italy, Africa, Middle East, covering also the role of member of the board of several Eni subsidiaries in the area. In 2005, he was appointed Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the Exploration & Production Division in Eni. From 2006 to 2014 he was President of Assomineraria and from 2008 to 2014 he was Chief Operating Officer in the Exploration & Production Division of Eni. From 2010 to 2014 he held the position of Chairman of Eni UK. In 2012, Claudio Descalzi was the first European in the field of Oil&Gas to receive the prestigious “Charles F. Rand Memorial Gold Medal 2012” award from the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Institute of Mining Engineers. He is a Visiting Fellow at The University of Oxford. In December 2015 he was made a member of the “Global Board of Advisors of the Council on Foreign Relations”. He graduated in physics in 1979 from the University of Milan.

Born in 1967. After leaving school in 1985 he entered the Lenin’s Shipbuilding Institute. Subsequently, from 1996 to 1998, Dyukov took up the post of Financial Manager and Chief Executive director of CJSC St-Petersburg Oil Terminal. In 1998 he was economics director, and during 1999 acted as chief director, of JSC St-Petersburg SeaPort. In 2000 he resumed his duties in JSC St-Petersburg Oil Terminal as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2001 he took an IMISP MBA degree. In February 2003 he was appointed President of JSC AK SIBUR. Since July 2005 he has also been President of JSC AKS Holding. In November 2005 he ceased working as the President of JSC AK SIBUR. He is President of OJSC AKS Holding, and since December 2005, he has also been President of JSC SIBUR Holding. Since November 2006 he has been Chairman of Board of Directors of JSC SIBUR Holding. From 2011 — Deputy Chairman of Board of Directors of JSC SIBUR Holding. On 23 November 2006 he was appointed Acting President of JSC Gazprom Neft’. On 30 December 2006 he was elected President of JSC Gazprom Neft’ by the ordinary general meeting of shareholders.

Mr Alexander Novak, born August 23rd , 1971 in Donetsk region of Ukranian SSR, is currently serving as Russia's Minister of Energy. From 2000 to 2002 he was Deputy Mayor of Norilsk on financial and economic issues and First Deputy Mayor of Norilsk. In 2002-2007 was Vice Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Head of the Main Financial Directorate of the Krasnoyarsk Krai administration. From July 2007 to September 2008 he was the First Vice Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai and from July to September 2008 he was also the Chairman of the government of Krasnoyarsk Krai. From September 2008 he was the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation and from October 2008, a member of the board of the Ministry of Finance of Russia. He is a graduated from the Norilsk Industrial Institute and the Moscow Lomonosov State University.

Mr Pradhan was born on 26 June 1969 in Indian state of Odisha. He holds a post graduate degree in Anthropology from Utkal University, Odisha. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Odisha State from 2000-2004 and become a member of the Lok Sbha (lower house of Indian Parliament) from 2004-2009. In his capacity as Member of Parliament he has been associated with the Parliamentary Committees on Rural Development and Agriculture. He took over as the Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas on 27 May 2014. Mr Pradhan is married and has one son and one daughter.

Born on June 24, 1963. A graduate of École Polytechnique and an Engineer of the French Corps des Mines. From 1989 to 1996, Patrick Pouyanné held various positions in the French Industry Ministry and in ministerial offices, including Environment and Industry Technical Advisor to the Prime Minister from 1993 to 1995 and Chief of Staff to the Information Technology and Space Minister from 1995 to 1996. He joined Total in January 1997, as Chief Administrative Officer of Total E&P Angola and became Group Representative in Qatar and CEO of Total E&P Qatar in 1999. In August 2002, he was named Senior Vice President, Finance, Economics and Information Systems in Exploration & Production. In January 2006, he became Senior Vice President, Strategy, Business Development and R&D in Exploration & Production. Patrick Pouyanné has been a member of Total’s Management Committee since May 2006. In March 2011, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Chemicals and Senior Vice President, Petrochemicals. In January 2012, Patrick Pouyanné was appointed President, Refining & Chemicals and member of the Executive Committee. On October 22, 2014 Patrick Pouyanné was appointed Total Chief Executive Officer and President of the Executive Committee. Since December 2015 he is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group.
