What is Attractive About the City of the Future?
A comfortable urban environment is no longer sufficient for the modern resident. Sophisticated city dwellers demand “bread and circuses”. Large metropolises, medium-sized cities, and small towns are engaged in an unequal battle for human capital. While metropolises develop their entertainment and leisure infrastructure to attract talent from other megacities, medium and small-sized towns must try twice as hard to retain their human capital. With the exponential growth of domestic tourism, cities are also competing for residents’ disposable income.
With developers, architects, a representative from VEB Group, and public figures, we will discuss what entertainment, intellectual, and tourist infrastructure makes cities of the future attractive.
