15 Jun , 11:00–12:15
Building Technological Sovereignty
Pavilion H, conference hall H23 (2nd floor)

The past year has witnessed a transformative period for the gaming industry. The Russian game market is now one of the fastest growing in the digital environment. The industry has successfully adapted to the new realities, leading to a continuous and active expansion of the gaming audience in Russia. Russian gamers have consistently emerged as winners in both domestic and international competitions, while domestic developments have proven to be formidable competitors against global game industry leaders. The Association of Professionals in the Operations and Game Development Industry, established in 2022 has provided a structured framework for fostering the industry's prosperous development. Industry Competence Centres have been actively engaged in extensive efforts towards substituting imported industry technologies and solutions. Has it been possible to influence the direction of industry development? What measures have been taken to provide systematic support for the industry? What about investments and markets for their products? How is the progress of the domestic game engine and how effective is import substitution? In what ways can the state contribute to the growth of the game industry in Russia?
