Money Out of Thin Air: The Escalating Allure of Green Youth Entrepreneurship
The year 2022 proved to be a time of immense challenge and upheaval for the Russian economy and its business community. Faced with these hurdles, the imperative of utmost concentration, resource optimization, and exploration of novel solutions became paramount. The government continued its steadfast support for ongoing business development endeavours, including those spearheaded by young entrepreneurs, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to the environmental agenda – specifically, the imperative of decarbonizing the Russian economy and achieving carbon neutrality. Within this landscape, "green" projects emerge as a promising avenue for business ventures, with eco-entrepreneurship representing a fertile and commercially viable niche. Are young individuals prepared to actively engage in the environmental business agenda? What are the advantages and efficacy of "green" projects and carbon units, and how accessible are they to enterprising young minds? Can civil society organizations, including youth movements, contribute to fostering an environmentally-focused business community or aid existing enterprises in diversifying their operations and aligning with the "green" agenda?
