Russia invites Boao Forum for Asia participants to SPIEF

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich has invited participants of the Boao Forum for Asia, in China, to the Eastern Economic Forum and St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Boao Forum for Asia runs from March 22–25, and is being attended by country representatives from Cambodia, China, Kazakhstan, Laos, Lithuania, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam, among others.

“The countries of the Asia-Pacific region complement one another in many ways; it is in our shared interests to combine our efforts in order for our knowledge economy to achieve a whole new level of growth, and we are expecting to build on the constructive dialogue begun here in Boao. SPIEF in June and the EEF in September provide good opportunities for doing so, and we would be delighted to see you at these events,” said Mr. Dvorkovich at the Boao forum.

Yesterday, a St. Petersburg International Economic Forum session took place in Boao, with prospects for economic relations between Russia and China being discussed.

Participants evaluated business opportunities at a time of digital revolution, and examined new approaches to organizing joint projects. Special attention was given to developing potential for collaborating in Russia and China’s innovative and entrepreneurial sectors. The dialogue on bilateral partnership will continue at the 20th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is to be held on June 16–18, 2016.
