Roscongress Foundation and China Media Group Sign Cooperation Agreement

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum hosted a ceremony for the signing of a stratigic agreement between the Roscongress Foundation as represented by Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev and the China Media Group as represented by Vice President of China Central Television Sun Yusheng for cooperation in mutual consultation, communication and expert support, information sharing aimed at expanding partner networks and strengthening cooperation with foreign partners, and media promotion of events organized by the parties.

The signing ceremony was attended by distinguished guests: Permanent Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Wang Xiaohui, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of China Media Group Shen Haixiong, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Alexey Volin.

“The Chinese delegation traditionally takes an active part in SPIEF, and this year over a thousand representatives of the country came to St. Petersburg for the Forum. This is indicative of the fact that the issues discussed at SPIEF are relevant and important for the political and business community in China. China Media Group support for key Roscongress business projects will allow us to achieve a qualitatively new level of coverage of events for the international community”, Stuglev said.

Shen firstly hightlighted and valued the strong friendship between the China and Russia, China Media Group is willing to have more cooperation with stratigc significance with Russian media. He said, “The signing of the strategic agreement between China Media Group and Roscongress is a concrete step to deepening the cooperation and enhancing the mutual communication and trust.” Shen also wishes the 2019 SPIEF a great success.

Two clips from the microvideo series “Friendly Cities of China and Russia” was played at the meeting, and representatives of the China Media Group and the Russia Television and Radio company shared their experiences and impressions of cooperation between the Chinese and Russian media.
