Over 100 Business Russia entrepreneurs spoke at over 40 SPIEF 2024 events and held dozens of negotiations with foreign partners
A delegation of Business Russia headed by its Chairman Alexey Repik took an active part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024.
“The cooperation between the Roscongress Foundation and Business Russia contributes to the formation of a sustainable business ecosystem where innovation and entrepreneurial initiative become the driving forces of economic progress. Joint efforts not only strengthen domestic economic ties, but also significantly enhance Russia’s international standing as a reliable partner in the business sphere,” said Alexander Stuglev, Chairman and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.
Over 100 entrepreneurs of the organization – members of the General Council and leaders of regional branches of Business Russia – took part in 43 events of the business programme as speakers, moderators and participants in discussions. Dozens of negotiations were held between the management and entrepreneurs of the business association and international partners from India, Nigeria, Mexico, Venezuela, Qatar, Oman, Myanmar, Algeria, South Africa, BRICS+ countries and others. Twelve partnership agreements were signed at the Forum, including with regional heads, Russian and international partners.
On the initiative of Business Russia and with its participation, a number of sessions and discussion events were organized and held at SPIEF.
Thus, Business Russia presented the results of the implementation of the Regional Investment Standard in 2024 at the presentation of the results of the National Rating of Investment Climate Status in Russian regions and held a joint session with the Association for Investment Development of Regions (AIRR) entitled ‘Innovation Potential of Regions: Building Technological Bridges to the Future’ with the participation of Maksim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, and Maksim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Business Russia was represented at the event by Alexey Repik, Chairman of the organization.
Business Russia also organized a session ‘International Trade in a Multipolar World: What Will Replace the WTO, the IMF and the Dollar?’ with the participation of foreign partners, government officials and leading business associations.
Together with the Advisory Council on Foreign Investment in Russia and the B1 Group of Companies, Business Russia presented the results of an extensive research on the interaction of Russian business with the BRICS+ countries at SPIEF.
Two discussion platforms – ‘A Course for Convergence: Best Practices in Interregional Cooperation’ and ‘New Tools for Increasing Labour Productivity as a Key Factor in Reducing Staffing Shortages in the Economy’ – were organized by the St. Petersburg Regional Branch of Business Russia.
During the SPIEF Youth Day, Business Russia and its partners organized a traditional Mentor Lounge for young entrepreneurs and students, where mentors were members of the General Council and leaders of the regional branches of the business association.
Alexey Repik also spoke at the Youth SPIEF session ‘How to Snatch Stars out of the Sky: Development Strategy for Young People’.

It is a unique platform for business and government contacts that helps accelerate economic development not only in Russia and Eurasia, but also far beyond. The issues raised during the Forum serve as a stimulus for key government decisions, the results of business meetings and negotiations with partners give a new impetus to the development of the economy and business, and allow sharing promising development plans and market-ready innovations with colleagues,” shared Chairman of Business Russia.
A cooperation agreement between SPIEF organizer Roscongress Foundation and Delovaya Rossiya has been in place since 2018.
