SPIEF will be the venue for award ceremony for the winners of the 15th all-Russian competition ‘Russia is My Country’
The gala award ceremony for the winners of the all-Russian competition between projects of young authors and educational projects targeted at social and economic development of Russian territories ‘Russia is My Country’ will take place within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (May 24-26, 2018) during the International Youth Forum.
All-Russian competition ‘Russia is My Country’ has been conducted in Russia for 15 years. Engaging young people in solving social and economic issues of their regions, cities and villages is one of the main objectives of the competition. Over 47 thousand young authors already took part in this competition during this entire period. The best projects and initiatives of the participants receive support of the respective federal and regional executive bodies, as well as from partner NGOs and businesses. The organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Union of Public Associations ‘Social and Economic Initiatives of Young People’ and the Russian Academy of Education. The event is organized under the auspices of the Roscongress Foundation.
According to Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, the 2018 event is financed with a grant of the President of the Russian Federation awarded for the development of the civil society by the Presidential Grants Fund. He stressed the importance of promoting and developing the youth work and supporting youth projects within the key international economic forums saying “Presenting the projects to Russian and foreign investors will allow for focusing the attention and improving the chances for getting the funding and for implementing the projects.”
The Roscongress Foundation is paying special attention to supporting and developing projects of young authors and volunteer work at various events of the Foundation. World Festival of Youth and Students took place in Sochi between October 14 and October 22, 2017. Special youth-oriented formats are organized at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, Russian Energy Week in Moscow and at other events.
