Wooden construction in Russia has rich history and dates back more than a millennium. Wood was used to build everything and for centuries. For example, a dwelling house was designed for at least 100 years, and churches for 200-300 years.
Nowadays, among other countries, we do not have the highest indicators in the field of wooden housing construction but there is a positive dynamic. In 2021, according to Rosstat, 10.8 million square meters of wooden properties were built, in 2022 the number increased till 14.2 million square meters. In 2023, the trend continues, and in 2024, experts predict even higher growth.
The development of wooden housing construction is one of the strategic directions to expand the domestic consumption market, which entails the development of related industries, the creation of new jobs, an increase in budget revenues, the solution of housing problems, and the provision of sustainable development of territories.

Issues for discussion:
• Problems and prospects for the development of wooden housing construction in the Russian Federation and the Komi Republic
• Raw materials and material support of the industry
• Creation of a sustainable market for the sale of house kits
• Measures of state support for housing construction. Formation of mechanisms for administrative, infrastructural, financial support for investments at the regional and municipal levels
• Development of proposals for improving the regulatory framework for housing construction
• Expansion of public-private partnership
