Background
Sergey Sitnikov born January 18, 1963 in Kostroma.
In 1986 Sergey Sitnikov graduated from Kostroma State Pedagogical Institute (specialty "teacher of history and social science, methodologist of the educational work"), then serving in the Soviet Army.
In 1987 he came to the "Komsomol work" and was appointed Secretary of the Kostroma regional Komsomol committee.
In 1990 he went to work in the media, in 1991 he became the chief editor of Kostroma regional youth newspaper "Young Leninist".
In 1992 he headed the Committee for Youth, Family and Children Administration of the Kostroma region.
In 1998 Sergey Sitnikov took over as head of the Kostroma State TV and Radio Company.
In 2002-2004 he was appointed chairman of the STRC Kaliningrad "Amber", Deputy Director General of Radio Baltika, head of the holding "Baltic Media Group".
2005 -2007 - head the STRC "Kostroma".
In December 2005 Sergey Sitnikov was elected a deputy of the Kostroma Regional Duma on the party "United Russia" list.
