Graduated from the Physical Faculty of the Leningrad State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of RAS. M.V. Kovalchuk is a leading scientist in the field of X-ray physics, crystallography and nanodiagnostics. He is one of the ideologists and organizers of nanotechnology development in the Russian Federation as the basis for the new paradigm on technologies inspired by nature.Under the leadership of Professor Kovalchuk the Kurchatov Сentre of the convergent Nano-Bio-Info-Cogno-Sociohumanitarian sciences and technologies (NBICS Сentre) which has no analogues in the world has been created as a tool for the formation of the technosphere inspired by nature. Research and development in the different fields is conducting in this centre using the Large-Scale Research Facilities (Mega-Science Facilities): from nuclear physics and atomic energy to nanotechnology and high-tech medicine. M.V. Kovalchuk is a Head of the Interagency Working Group «Interdisciplinary Scientific Researches» at the Presidential Council for Science and Education.Professor Kovalchuk is a Dean of the Physical Faculty at SPSU and Scientific Head of the Faculty of the Convergent Sciences and Technologies which has been established on his initiative at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. M.V. Kovalchuk is a Member of the European X-ray Free Electron Laser (European XFEL Project) International Council. Laureate of the awards of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of a science and technology, and in the field of education; Commander of the Order «For Services to the Fatherland» IV and III degree.

In 2003 – co-founder of “BELROSBANK” CJSC, joint-stock commercial bank. From 2003 – President of YAROVIT Production and Investment Holding N.V. YAROVIT Holding is a diversified group of companies united by a single centralized corporate management. The holding’s business activity is focused on the Russian market. Main business lines are mechanical engineering (manufacture of trucks), power engineering, construction and development, agriculture.

Andreas Renschler has been a member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG since October 1, 2004 and is responsible for Daimler Trucks. Renschler was born on March 29, 1958 in Stuttgart, Germany. After obtaining the Fachhochschulreife (Technical College entrance examination), he studied Economic Engineering and graduated from Technical College Esslingen (1979 to 1983). From 1984 to 1987, he studied at Eberhard-Karls University Tubingen, where he obtained an MBA. In 1988, he joined the then Daimler-Benz AG at Organization and Data Processing department. Prior to his current position Andreas Renschler worked as Executive Vice President Mercedes Car Group and Head of Business Unit Smart GmbH. Member of Supervisory Board of Visitors (College of Commerce & Business Administration, The University of Alabama). Doctor of Humane Letters honoris causa (The University of Alabama). Born in Madrid, 1957. Bachelor in Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Ph.D. in Economics from University of Minnesota (USA). Consultant to IDB, World Bank, OECD and IMF. He worked as an economist for the Research Department of the Bank of Spain and for the Spanish Ministry of Finance. He was General Manager and Head of Research at Intermoney, Chief Economist and Deputy General Manager at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya (BBV) and at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA). He was General Manager of the journal Moneda y Crédito. He has published several books and working papers in specialized national and international reviews. He has also published many articles in the press. He was Director of Economistas 2004, coordinator of the economic program of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) and economic adviser of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. He was the Chairman of the Economic Bureau of the Prime Minister of Spain. He is a Professor of Fundamental Economic Analysis, Macroeconomics and of Microeconomics at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is currently on extended leave of absence. He was appointed Minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade on April 12, 2008 for the IX term of office of the Government of Spain.

Ewald Kreid has 11 years of experience at BCG and is a partner and Managing Director at the Moscow office. He heads the industrial goods practice in CIS. Ewald has worked extensively with clients in Russia/CIS, CEE and Western Europe on a broad range of assignments. Recent projects were: Strategy and go-to-market models in a range of industrial sectors in Russia/CIS: construction, machinery, building materials, automotive, pharmaceuticals. Operational improvement projects for CIS mining, automotive and pharmaceutical companies. Organization: Diagnosis, redesign and implementation in multiple sectors – metals, mining, automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals. Due diligences, M&A and post merger integration support in multiple industries. Mr Kreid graduated in Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics. He holds a 'Mastère Entrepreneurs' from HEC School of Management, Paris. He also holds a Master of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Prior to BCG, Ewald Kreid worked as project manager at the Vienna Institute of Industrial Research.

Anatoly Paliy was born January 26, 1980 in Moscow. Education: Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation – Diploma in world economy, specialization in international monetary, credit and financial relations. University of Jean Moulin Lyon 3, France – Diploma in Corporate finance. Ph.D. in Economics. Speaks English and French. Business experience: 2002–2004 – PricewaterhouseCoopers in the GCMG (Global Capital Markets Group) Department, Paris, France and in the GEM (Global Energy and Mining) Department, Moscow. In 2004 he started working for JSC Gazprom gazenergoset as Head of the Planning and Economic Department. In 2006 he was appointed CFO. From 2008 – until the present time First Deputy Director.
