Modern cinema has long transcended national borders and has become part of world culture. Modern technology can transmit film content over large distances. European and Russian stars work successfully in Hollywood, and leading American studios team up with their European and Asian colleagues more and more often. Almost 70% of film projects in Europe are co-productions, expanding the boundaries of film distribution, while preserving national characteristics.

1) What new technology allows expanding coverage by digital film screening?
2) How does joint film production contribute to enhancing the quality of a film and increase opportunities for world distribution?
3) What should the modern filmmaker (producer, director, script writer) be like in order to make a film that appeals to a global audience? Are universal requirements for training cinema professionals necessary?

Mark Lolo

Mr. Lolo was born May 9, 1968 in the city of Gorky, Nizhny Novgorod. 1992 – graduated from the faculty of applied mathematics of Yerevan State University. Mark Lolo is working in “Central Partnership” since the foundation day. 1996 – headed the department of film distribution in “Central Partnership”. 2000 – appointed as a Director of film distribution of “Central Partnership”. 2007 – appointed as a Director of distribution of the company “Central Partnership Sales House”. Since January 2008 till the April 2011 was a general director of the company “Central Partnership Sales House”. April 13, 2011 – appointed as a President of “Central Partnership”. Mr. Lolo awarded with honorable National Award “For the significant contribution to development of national film distribution 2010”. Mark Lolo is a Member of National Academy of cinema arts and sciences of Russia. Candidate of political sciences. Author of the monograph “The World Cinema and World Politics” and other scientific works.
