Peryshkina Alena, Director of AIDS infoshare. A Leading Civil Society Expert on International Development Aid. Graduated from the Institute of Foreign Languages named Maurice Thorez. Since 1993, founder and director of AIDS Infoshare. 1996-2010 she has developed and implemented regional network projects aimed to disseminate the experience of Russia in the fight against socially significant diseases. 2006-2009 with the support of the Russian Government and UN she organized 3 Eastern European and Central Asian AIDS Conferences. In 2007 she initiated Government Commission on AIDS and has been its member until 2009. Since 2010 her primary interest is civil society's responcibility for sustainable development. With support of Aid to the President Mr. Dvorkovich, she created G8/G20 Russian NGOs working group. In 2011 Alena organized High Level Meeting on MDG6 in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She runs @G8G20Civil, www.G20civil.com and was organizer of charity football matches in partnership with Russian Government Sports club "Rosich." .

Since 2008, the Foundation’s Economic Governance Program has cooperated with governments, think tanks, and civil society to organize input to the Group of 20 (G20) and, more recently, the BRICS in ways that prevent future financial crises, promote sustainable human development, and democratize global governance. From 1997 - 2007, Alexander founded and directed the Globalization Challenge Initiative and previously worked as Director of Government Relations for Bread for the World. In these roles, she engaged in research, education and advocacy relating to improving the performance of global institutions and the US government’s participation in them. She has consulted to the US House of Representatives (the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee), the International Labor Organization, and the Bank Information Center.

Dr. Ariane McCabe is a Senior Manager for Programme Funding at the GAVI Alliance, a Geneva-based public-private global health partnership that improves access to new and under-used vaccines. Since joining GAVI in 2010, she has been responsible for GAVI’s resource mobilisation efforts and relations with major donor governments, such as the United Kingdom and Italy and emerging market donors, such as Brazil and Russia. In addition, she supports GAVI’s Advanced Market Commitment (AMC) to which Russia is a major donor. Prior to joining GAVI Alliance, Ariane worked for the pharmaceutical industry and as a consultant to the World Bank and World Health Organisation on issues related to access to medicines, intellectual property rights and pharmaceutical supply chains in developing countries. Ariane holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on the impact of intellectual property rights and regulatory policy on the business models of the pharmaceutical companies in Brazil and Mexico.

Dr. Malkin is Senior advisor to the Executive Director of UNAIDS and since 2011 the Head of the UNAIDS Regional Support Team for Europe and Central Asia a.i. Dr. Malkin is a medical doctor specialised in infectious and tropical diseases, with over 25 years experience in care management of HIV-positive patients notably at the Medical centre of Pasteur Institute (Paris). He has huge experience in monitoring of HIV/AIDS programmes in different regions of the world including developed and resource limited countries. Dr. Malkin is a member of several scientific and medical societies and during his carrier has been actively contributing to different committees and experts panels. He earned Post-Master’s Diplomas in Public Health in developing countries. He holds a Master’s degree in epidemiological statistics and Doctor of Medicine in the University of Paris.

Gabriela Ramos is the OECD Chief of Staff and Sherpa to the G20. Since 2006, she has been advising the Secretary-General, supporting his strategic agenda and contributing to the opening up of the organization to new members and partner countries. Recently, she contributed to the launch of major OECD initiatives related to gender issues, skills and development. Since 2009, having also taken on the role as the OECD Sherpa to the G20, she has been co-ordinating the contributions of the OECD to the group and has been representing the organization at the G20 Sherpa meetings. Previously, she served as Head of the OECD Office in Mexico and Latin America, where she promoted OECD recommendations in many areas including health and education. She helped in the preparations of several OECD reports on Mexico, developed the OECD Forum there and launched the “Getting it Right” flagship publication series. Prior to joining the OECD, Mrs. Ramos held several positions in the Mexican Government, notably as advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director of OECD Affairs. She has also held several positions as Professor of International Economy at the Universidad Iberoamericana and at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Ms. Ramos holds an MA in Public Policies from Harvard University, and was a Fulbright and Ford MacArthur fellow.

Mr. Xu joined UNDP in 1995 and has worked in the Asia and Pacific and Eastern Europe and the CIS Regions respectively. He has worked in UNDP New York headquarters (1997-99), Iran (2000-02), Timor-Leste (2002-04), Pakistan (2004-07) and served two terms in Kazakhstan (1995-97, 2007-10). Before taking the current position in New York, he was UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan. Before joining the United Nations, Mr. Xu worked as an assistant lecturer in Tongji, University in China, and was a computer-aided design engineer with Louis Berger International Inc. in the USA and South Korea. Mr. Xu is a national of the People’s Republic of China. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bridge Engineering from Tongji University, a Masters in Management Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University. He is fluent in Chinese, English and Russian.
