Mark Kurtser is the founder of the Mother and Child Group of Companies, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, a correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a doctor of medicine and a professor. He began his career at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Pirogov Second Moscow State Medical Institute, where he worked his way up from assistant to associate professor of the department. From 1994 to 2012, Kurtser was head of the Family Planning and Reproduction Centre of the Moscow Healthcare Department, the largest obstetrics and gynaecology institution in Moscow. In 2011, he defended his doctoral dissertation. From 2003 to 2013, he was the chief obstetrician and gynaecologist within the Moscow Healthcare Department. The Mother and Child Welfare programme was prepared with his involvement as part of the Municipal Targeted Programme for Healthcare Development for 2006–2007 and guidelines were developed for health and demographic indicators. The level of maternal and perinatal mortality declined in the city. Kurtser is the author of 45 scientific works, more than eleven textbooks and practical guidelines in obstetrics and gynaecology. PhD dissertations are held under his guidance. Kurtser is actively involved in holding conventions and symposiums and also lectures for practicing physicians and residents. He introduces innovative medical technologies to the work of obstetrics and gynaecology in-patient clinics. Kurtser remains actively involved in the activities of the Mother and Child Group both as an executive and as regular medical practitioner.

Jon Fredrik Baksaas has worked in Telenor Group since 1989. During the last 10 years he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to appointment as President and CEO, Jon Fredrik Baksaas held the positions of Deputy CEO, CFO and Executive Vice President of Telenor with overall responsibility for Telenor networks and communication services in Norway. Since Baksaas was appointed President and CEO of Telenor in June 2002, the total number of subscriptions in the 12 mobile operations of Telenor Group under his leadership increased from 21 mln to 164 mln. This makes Telenor Group one of the largest mobile operators in the world by subscriber number. Baksaas is currently a board member of Svenska Handelsbanken AB, the GSM Association, and is a member of the Advisory Council of Det Norske Veritas. Before joining Telenor in 1989, Baksaas served as CFO of Aker AS, CFO of Stolt-Nielsen Seaway and held finance-related positions at Det Norske Veritas in Norway and Japan. Education: Master of Science degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen. He also holds qualifications from IMD (International Institute for Management Development) in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Frans van Houten started his career with the company in 1986 in marketing and sales at Philips Data Systems. In 1993 he was appointed vice president international sales and operations of Philips Kommunikations Industrie in Germany. In 1996 Mr. Van Houten joined Philips’ Consumer Electronics division for which he led the region Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, based in Singapore. In 2002, he became co-CEO of the Consumer Electronics division and was appointed member of Philips’ Group Management Committee in 2003. In 2004, Mr. Van Houten was appointed CEO of Philips Semiconductors and in 2006 joined Philips’ Board of Management until the spin out and creation of NXP Semiconductors in September of that year, when he became the CEO of NXP. Prior to re-joining Philips, Mr. Van Houten was leading a project to separate ING Group’s banking and insurance operations as an independent advisor to ING’s management board. In January 2011, Mr. Van Houten assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) within Philips. Mr. Van Houten was born in the Netherlands in 1960 and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Management from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Joseph Jimenez has been Chief Executive Officer of Novartis AG since 1 February 2010. Throughout his time as CEO of Novartis, Mr. Jimenez has placed an emphasis on the expansion of the company into developing markets. This includes Russia, where in December 2010, Novartis announced plans to invest $500 million over the next five years. Mr. Jimenez began his career at Novartis in April 2007 as Head of the Novartis Consumer Health Division. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of H.J. Heinz Company in North America In Russia, Mr. Jimenez represents Novartis at the Foreign Investment Advisory Council (FIAC). At present, Novartis is the only pharmaceutical company in the FIAC. Mr. Jimenez received his Bachelor’s Degree from Stanford University in 1982 and was awarded his MBA by the University of California, Berkeley in 1984.

Andrei Dubovskov has vast experience in telecommunications: having begun his career in 1993, he filled executive positions in Millicom International Cellular, LLC Regional Cellular Communication, CJSC 800 and a number of other companies in Moscow, Almaty, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities. From 2002 to 2004, he was CEO of the Tele2 Group in Nizhny Novgorod. In 2004, he came to MTS, taking up the post of Nizhny Novgorod Branch Director. In 2006-2007, he was Director of the macroregion MTS Ural and, in 2007, started working for CJSC UMS (MTS Ukraine) as Senior Deputy CEO. Since 2008, he has been at the helm of MTS Ukraine. Mr. Dubovskov is a Board Member of MTS, AFK Sistema and member of the Supervisory Board of MTS Ukraine. He is Chairman of the Management Board of MGTS and JSC Russian Telephone Company, Vice-Chairman of the Management Board of Mobile TeleSystems (MTS-Belarus). He is also a member of the Committee on Corporate Management under the Board of Directors of AFK Sistema and the Committee on Strategy under the Board of Directors of MTS. Andrei was born in 1966 and graduated in 1993 from the All-Russia S.A. Gerasimov State Institute of Cinematography as a Film Director.

Christian Morales is an Intel vice president and general manager of Intel Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He is responsible for Intel product sales and marketing in the EMEA region. Morales has held senior international management roles in sales, channel operations and general management. He brings extensive experience in marketing and building brand awareness for new product segments, as well as a strong background in expanding and driving Intel's business into new and emerging markets. Prior to this role, Morales was Intel's vice president of the Sales and Marketing Group and co-general manager of Asia Pacific responsible for implementing Intel's strategies in Asia. He was also responsible for championing Intel's worldwide emerging markets strategy. Before that, he was general manager of Latin America and was instrumental in helping to establish a new regional headquarters and expand the company's regional presence throughout the continent. He joined the company in 1980 in Paris as an Intel field sales engineer and in 1983 became director for Spain and Portugal, and then moved back to Paris in senior positions to manage Western Europe channels and OEMs. He has been based in Paris, Madrid, Sao Paulo and Hong Kong. Morales graduated with an electrical engineering degree from the Electricity, Mechanics and Electronics Engineering School in Paris. In 1990, he completed the Young Managers Program in the MBA program at INSEAD.

Mr. Roytberg is the director of JSC Medicina as well as a practicing doctor and scientist. Grigory was at the forefront of the introduction of such fundamental diagnostics techniques such as coronary angiography and echocardiography. He is the founder of the scientific school for metabolic syndrome and the author of over 200 scientific papers, including six monographs. After graduating from the Pirogov Second Moscow Medical Institute in 1974, he took up clinical residency with a major in Cardiology. During his studies, he worked as a doctor in the cardiology department, and then in the cardiac intensive care unit of the Seventh Moscow City Hospital. In 1982, he defended his thesis and was awarded the title of associate professor. He obtained a Doctorate of Medical Sciences in 1990. In the same year under, the Medicina clinic was founded under Roitberg’s guidance. The Therapy and Family Medicine Department of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) has been working on the core of the Medicina clinic under the supervision of Mr. Roytberg since 1998. Mr. Roytberg was awarded the title of Honoured Doctor of the Russian Federation in 2003 and elected as a correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in 2005. The textbook “Laboratory and Instrumental Diagnostics of Diseases of the Internal Organs”, which was prepared in collaboration with Professor A. Strutynsky, the chair of the RNRMU Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases Department, was awarded the Prize of the Moscow Mayor in medicine. In 2010, Mr. Roytberg was awarded the Prize of the RF Government in education for the series of works “Fundamentals of the clinical diagnosis of diseases of the internal organs”. In 2011, Grigory Roytberg was elected a member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
