The multimedia hall of the Presidential Library will host screenings and discussions of the documentary Chronicles of the Nubian Expedition. The film was created in 2021 with the support of the History of the Fatherland Foundation, directed and written by Dmitry Zavilgelsky. The film revolves around a significant period in the history of Russian archeology, the beginning of the era of Soviet and later Russian expeditions in the Middle East. It tells the story of the first expedition of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in Egypt in 1961–1963. It was a great archaeological campaign that played a significant role in the history of science. The film features interviews with the children of the archaeologists who were members of the expedition – E. A. Vinogradova, M. B. Piotrovsky, M. L. Petrova, A. O. Bolshakov. The film's scientific consultant Alexei Krol talks about the development of the archaeological research of the Nubian expedition started 60 years ago, about the excavation work of the Research Institute of Anthropology of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
